Writers Guidelines

Every week we display a feature article at Zenzibar with a graphic link to the article on Zenzibar's home page. You can submit an article for our consideration by including the text of the article in the body of an e-mail to Royce Carlson.  Put "Article Submission" in the Subject line of the e-mail. Please do not send the article as an attachment. We have a policy of not opening unsolicited attachments.

The article must be on an alternative culture subject. It must be informative on the subject area but not an "info-mercial" or obvious advertisement for your web site. The article must be between 400 and 1,000 words and can include links to relevant web sites and relevant images. 

The link to the article will be a graphic on the home page. This graphic is 150 X 150 pixels and is in .gif format. If you have or want to make a graphic for use as this link, use the above dimensions and format and send it with your submission.

If your article is already published on your web site, we may want to link to the article there rather than re-printing it here. If you want us to consider that option, please include the address of the article.

Zenzibar runs on a tiny, tiny budget. At this time there is no money available to pay cash for articles. We will advertise your web site for no charge on the page your article is printed on. In exchange for letting us use your article we will give you a byline and include a link to your web site. If you have a banner link for your web site we can use that also.

There is no guarantee that we will use your article. You will not be contacted if we aren't going to use it. If we do want to use it, we will contact you so be sure to give us the e-mail address where you want us to contact you.
