The Shiv Kuti Mandir in Allahabad has over 150 Shiva lingas laid out in neat rows. Four are visible in this picture, taken at 8pm.

At the Bharatdwaj Muni Ashram at 9.50pm, a mixture of milk, honey and water being poured over Shiv. Mythology places this Ashram in the epic story of the Ramayana.

After placing two flags (red and yellow) next to the linga, a very grateful devotee places his head on Shiva. His family is in the background. Shiva granted him his request and so today on Maha Shivratri, the devotee had returned to say ‘Thank you’.
